Angela achieved a reputation as the foremost researcher and scholar internationally in the field of research on the interrelationship between teaching and research and has contributed visionary work that developed conceptual understanding of higher education worldwide. A sustained program of research on the nature of research and its relationship to teaching resulted in a significant and sustained publication record with many sole-authored publications in prestigious international peer reviewed journals such as Studies in Higher Education, and Higher Education, and in chapters in books by leading scholars. She has a Google Scholar h-Index of 39 and an i10-Index of 68.
Angela’s research and scholarship has been recognised through invitations to give keynote addresses in international conferences, and to present funded seminars or workshops at many Australian and overseas universities.
